Mohanlal and Thilakan to team up again


Superstar Mohanlal, who is currently busy with the shooting for his Ramzan release, Angel John will start the shooting for his new untitled movie with Roshan Andrews by the end of next month. This new movie will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas and scripted by James Albert (Classmates fame).

The major highlight regarding with this new untitled film is that it will feature two of the living legends in the Malayalam film industry together after a long gap of about 9 years. The greatest star in Malayalam, Mohanlal and the greatest character actor in Malayalam, Thilakan will join together for this movie after the film Narasimham in 2000.

As per the reports, this new film will feature Thilakan in father's role to the character played by our lalettan. It should be remembered that both these talented actors have delivered so many awesome performances together in the past and the same is going to be expected from them for this time also. So let's wait for the film eagerly..

Mohanlal is back on stage again. Yes, the veteran actor has appeared in a full- fledged stage drama Chayamukhi at Kollam on 25/7/09 after a long gap and the viewers enjoyed the actor's flawless live performance on stage. Mohanlal played the role of Bheema in this Mahabaratham based drama.

Unnai Pol Oruvan shifted to September


Superstar Mohanlal's eagerly awaited Tamil film with none other than Ulaka nayakan Kamal Hassan, Unnai Pol Oruvan is now all set to delay by a month since the post production work for the movie is not over. This film is considered to be one of the most anticipated movie for the year since it features two of the living legends of Indian cinema for the first time together.

This film was all set to release by the date of August 12, as the date has a significance - 50 years back as a child artist Kamal’s first film Kalathur Kannamma was released on August 12, 1959. The dubbing of Unnaipol Oruvan is going on and it looks like it will take another fortnight before the first copy would be ready. Then the sales of the film has to start and it looks like the film will make it to the theatres only in the third week of September.

Another major reason behind the shifting of it's release is that Ramzan Fasting period is to start on August 21 and will go up to September 17, during which collections will take a big dip especially in Malabar area in Kerala and Nizam territory in Andhra. Also the makers of this movie doesn't want to compete with the other biggy from Kollywood, Vikram's Kandasamy, which is scheduled to release by August 15th.

This new movie, that will feature Mohanlal in the title role itself is having Santhanu Bhagyaraj as it's hero. This new film will be directed by Jayasurya, who got to fame by his debut film, Dileep starrer Speed Track. The other notable thing with this new film is that it will be distributed by Mohanlal's home banner, Maxlab Entertainments.

Mohanlal to Rajyasabha????


Superstar Mohanlal is considered to be one among the living legends in the Indian film industry. He was conferred with the Padmasree and Bharat award earlier for his excellence in the acting. He has amazed almost every other members in the film industry with his ease style of acting skills and techniques.The latest news to hear about our own lalettan is that he is one of the hot priority in presidents list for the Rajya Sabha members.

The Rajya Sabha (meaning the “Council of States”) is the upper house of the Parliament of India. Membership is limited to 250 members. Among this 250, the President of India has the authority to propose any 12 people to the Rajya Sabha. The criteria fior this selection is that they must have proved their capability in various fields of life.

Since our Lalettan has proved his excellence in the field of acting, he really is a strong contendor for that Rajyasabha seat. Also Mohanlal is also known for his socio-welfare and other charitable activities. It has been 40 years since someone has been proposed from Kerala for this post. Mahakavi G Shankarakurup was the last person to be proposed.

According to some close sources, since there are 7 vaccant in Rajya Sabha, when the President puts across his list, it is said that this time Kerala would be adequately represented as well. So our Lalettan has a great oppurtunity to bag a membership in Rajyasabha, also it won't be as easy as it is since Mammootty, Adoor Gopalakrishnan and O N V Kurup are also vying for a space in the list and a seat to the Rajya Sabha.
